The Intel® Reader provides convenient and flexible access to a variety of printed material, providing greater reading independence for the visually impaired. Combining a 5 megapixel high resolution camera with the power of an Intel® Atom™ processor, the Reader captures printed text, converts it to digital text, then reads it aloud. Point the Intel Reader camera at the printed material, snap a picture, and listen to the spoken read-out. Control the play back voice by changing voices, selecting voice gender, and changing pitch and playback speed to suit your needs. View and highlight the text on the Reader 4.3" display screen, changing text size as necessary. Manage all your stored content using easy-to navigate controls. The Intel Reader will play most content, including MP3, DAISY books, or text transferred from a computer. Stored documents can be further transferred to your VictorReader Stream for even greater portability. To capture large amounts of text for school, work, or pleasure, use the Portable Capture Station to snap and capture multiple images at one time.
